Astra Polymers makes high-quality masterbatch — black, white and color — alongside dust-free additive systems and custom thermoplastic compounds for the polymer, petrochemical and plastics-converting industries. We started out in 1993 in the Second Industrial City of Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and today operate as a subsidiary of Astra Industrial Group.
For more than three decades we have supplied plastics processors with consistent, dependable color and additive solutions. Today Astra Polymers operates seven manufacturing plants across five countries, supported by a skilled multinational team, modern computer-controlled production lines and a fully equipped laboratory.

In a plastics industry that never stands still, R&D is how we stay ahead. Our labs develop, match and validate color and additive formulations, then carry them reliably from the first sample all the way to full production.
With modern color-matching, dispersion-analysis and physical-testing equipment on hand, our technical team builds solutions to order, turns around new grades quickly and tests them thoroughly in-house — all backed by a sampling service that lets customers qualify materials with confidence.
Steady investment in R&D — including a long-running additives collaboration with BASF — lets us take on demanding work, from fibers and nonwovens to films, pipe and packaging, and keep sharpening the products our customers depend on.

Astra Polymers manufactures at seven plants across five countries — Dammam and Rabigh in Saudi Arabia, Dubai (Jebel Ali) and Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) in the UAE, Çorlu in Turkey, Dahej in India, and Biougra (Souss-Massa) in Morocco. This footprint keeps production close to raw-material sources and to customers across the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Our lines run modern, highly automated, computer-controlled extrusion and compounding equipment, with in-line monitoring that holds tight tolerances on dispersion, additive loading and color. Because the processes are standardized across every site, a grade approved at one plant behaves the same wherever it's made.
Together with seven sales offices and strong logistics partnerships, this multi-plant network gives customers dependable capacity, shorter lead times and security of supply — even as demand grows.
Quality is managed from end to end through a TÜV Nord-certified ISO 9001 system we've maintained and improved since 1994. Every stage, from incoming raw materials to finished product, runs on defined procedures and documented checks.
Our labs check color strength and shade, dispersion, melt flow, moisture and other key properties against agreed specifications. Retained samples and batch records give every lot we ship full traceability.
That discipline is what makes us consistent: the color and performance you sign off on in a sample are what turn up in production — batch after batch.

Black Masterbatch
Our carbon-black concentrates draw on a broad range of pigment systems, from large to small particle sizes. Astra Black Masterbatch runs in a wide variety of polymers — ABS, GPPS, HIPS, LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE and PP homo- and co-polymers — across applications like film, compounding, pipe, fibre and injection and blow moulding.
It's relied on across key markets — agricultural film, consumer products, wire and cable, textiles, automotive, electronics and packaging — giving plastics deep color and a better visual finish.
