A leading company in the production of high-quality masterbatch (Black, White, and Color), and dust free additive systems together with custom-made Thermoplastic compounds, liquid based or paste colorants and custom compounding for the polymer manufacturing, polymer converting, petrochemical and Plastics processing industries.
Founded in 1993 as a limited liability company in 2nd Industrial City Dammam, Astra Polymers have sustained the growth providing continuous service to the Industry. With highly skilled multinational workforce, the company has performed well for over 25 years of its operations, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized processing technology, fully equipped laboratory, and continuous investment in product research and development.
Distinctive capacity to provide appropriate solutions through variety of master batches, additives and compounds to suit different type of applications such as extrusion molding products (PE Pipes, tapes, woven sac, sheets etc.), injection molding products ( House hold articles, engineering products, bottle caps etc.) , blow moldings products ( bottles, gallons etc.), Thermoforming products(Yogurt cups, sheets) including general purpose or specific application. Specific application grades include masterbatch for: Fiber, (PP, PET, PE), BOPP, Agricultural, Horticultural & Multi-layer films, PET Preform products, irrigation pipes and tubes of high pressure (for water and gas) and fiber. Also, we produce additives with high quality specifications integrated with our petrochemical partners.
In 2012, Astra Polymers, BASF Plastic Additives Middle East and BASF Switzerland signed a long-term contract to extend their existing production cooperation agreement in the field of plastic additives. The two companies continue to work together to produce additive blends in Saudi Arabia. This cooperative agreement combines the expertise of the two companies, bringing two complementary form-giving technologies for Customer Specific Blends (CSB).
